Jericho Rosales is waiting patiently for the airing of his next TV series
Jericho Rosales is already working on his next TV series, the local adaptation of the Korean TV series Green Rose, where he will star opposite Anne Curtis and Jake Cuenca. “Last quarter ng taon na ito, ‘yun ang target na i-ere [ang teleserye]. Enjoy kami sa set. Maganda ‘yung mga eksena, isa sa mga pinakapaborito [kong project],” he said.
Echo is also ecstatic about working with Anne again, having worked with the actress in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Baler. “Pinaka-cool si Anne, pinakakalog,” he describes the Showtime host. “Pareho kaming abnormal sa set. We get along [and] okay kami sa set. I love working with Anne kasi professional siya, at the same time, marunong siyang mag-enjoy. Hindi siya mahirap pakisamahan, hindi ka maiilang sa kanya.”
Jericho’s last soap opera was 2009’s Dahil May Isang Ikaw with Kristine Hermosa. He was asked if he is feeling a little impatient that it will take longer before his next teleserye will start airing, he replied, “No. For me, mas pabor ‘yun, eh. Never akong nagmadali sa isang bagay na hindi pa talaga maganda.” The actor is also proud to be working with director Dondon Santos. “Action-drama, mahirap talagang gawin but he’s doing a great job,” he said of Direk Dondon. “Talagang ang ganda ng mga shots niya, never kong nakitang nagalit sa set. Everyday what he shows is coolness, patience, and excellence. Masarap, magaang katrabaho si Direk.”
When prodded to explain why he considers this teleserye one of his favorites, Echo replied, “Isa sa mga hiling ko na makatrabaho si Anne sa soap kasi nagkatrabaho kami sa Baler and of course si Dondon Santos, [and] I love the staff. They show me nothing but respect, love tsaka they love work. Enjoy talaga ako.”
Jericho’s last action-drama teleserye was Panday five years ago. that is why he is excited to make another project of the same genre. “’Yung action-drama ‘yun ang napupusuan kong gawin [at ito] katuparan ng aking kahilingan.”
