Bea Alonzo has been going to the glamorous Star Magic Ball without an escort for the past three years. This time, however, she attended with an escort, and an unexpected one at that. Bea arrived with Zanjoe Marudo, surprising everyone when they walked down arm-in-arm on the red carpet.
The pair answered the questions of the intrigued press in a very light and cheerful manner. When asked how they ended up as dates, Bea jokingly says “Binayaran ko s’ya!” To which Zanjoe responds, “Ang hirap! Hahaha.” But the question still stands, why are they together? Zanjoe gives out a witty answer, “Bakit naman hindi?”
But the pair admits that their closeness began while filming Star Cinema’s certified box office hit Sa’yo Lamang. Bea shares, “Lately, naging friends kami. As in nakilala ko sya. Parang instant naman ang pagiging komportable.”
Meanwhile, Zanjoe reveals, “Si Bea kasi maraming qualities na hindi alam ng tao…Malambing si Bea.”
He also admits that they go out during their free time… with other friends, of course. “Mas nagkakasama kami sa trabaho. Tapos pag may mga time na bakante, yung nagkakasama kami kasama ng mga kaibigan namin.”
