Cristine Reyes says that she wants to be friends with Sarah Geronimo

After several weeks of speculations and rumors, viewers were shocked when Cristine Reyes revealed her true feelings for Rayver Cruz in Showbiz News Ngayon’s (SNN) Tell-All episode last August 4. In the SNN interview, she revealed that she almost fell for Rayver until she found out something about him, which hurt and disappointed her. Based from speculations and previous reports, the “sabit” Cristine was referring to is Rayver's supposed relationship with Sarah Geronimo.

ABS-CBN.com caught up with Cristine and asked asked her if she has any regrets after doing the SNN interview. “Wala naman...okay naman...kasi ready na ako nun, e. Para rin matapos na [yung mga issues].” She also told us that she felt relieved somehow that she was able to let out the feelings she harbored for the past weeks.

Apparently, Cristine already cut communications with Rayver and did not want to talk about the issue anymore. She did not even inform him about the interview. “Hindi na. Kasi in-interview lang naman ako, para sa promo ng Kristine Series kung baga, siguro naisama na lang din sa tanong. Hindi ko naman ine-expect na itatanong sa akin yun, kung baga hindi din ako prepared. Sinagot ko lang.” Cristine is intent on moving on from the hurtful experience and she does not want to bear grudges. “Tapos na yun. Move on na. Para wala nang issue. Para wala na magalit.”

But Cristine will not mind if Rayver will be paired with her for a project in the future as a sign of professionalism. “Kahit sinong ibigay na akin na kapareha, hindi naman ako namimili kasi alam ko na pinag-isipan nila yun ng maigi. Kahit sino okay sa akin.”

Meanwhile, Cristine was recently launched as an ASAP regular host. Because of this, ABS-CBN.com asked her about her working relationship with the Popstar Princess. “Isang beses pa lang kami nagkakasama pero okay naman, warm naman and masaya. Kasi lahat naman din ng nasa ASAP kakilala ko.” She also denied that she and Sarah snubbed each other during an ASAP episode. Contrary to these issues, Cristine said that she would like to be friends with Sarah. “Oo naman, lahat naman gusto ko maging kaibigan para masaya tayo sa trabaho. Siyempre. Kung baga kapag sinabi mong Sarah, superstar, 'di ba? Fan niya ako.”

Cristine is excited about her teleserye Precious Hearts Romances Presents Martha Cecilia's Kristine which will premiere on August 16. “Excited ako pero kinakabahan. Feeling ko first time ulit na gagawa ako ng teleserye. Sana magustuhan ng mga fans ng Martha Cecilia's books yung programa, sana suportahan nila.” Martha Cecilia's Kristine also stars Zanjoe Marudo, Denise Laurel, and Rafael Rosell.
