Piolo Pascual on the success of Noah: 'You can't be complacent'

Piolo Pascual’s teleserye Noah is consistently dominating the primetime race as shown in the recent national TV ratings, beating former top-rater Agua Bendita, which is down to its last three weeks. “We’re thankful, of course and we’re blessed,” said Piolo about Noah’s high ratings. However, he stressed that the show's strong projections should not stop them from being on their toes. “It never ends there. We can’t naman be complacent ‘di ba?” he reasoned.

Piolo revealed that pressure on their soap opera is escalating because taping for each episode is for airing the very next day. “Ang hirap because kung anuman ang tine-tape namin, ipinapalabas na the next day. Nakakatakot and parang nakaka-stress kasi kailangan mo talagang tapusin ‘yung mga eksena so baka dumating kami sa point na we have to tape everyday.” Given this situation, the actor feels worried because he has commitments in the coming months. “I have an event in August (Ironman Philippines), I have a concert in the [United] States in September, I have a tour in October so busy lang,” he explained.

Piolo also commended ABS-CBN for coming up with another quality series like Noah. “’Yung expertise talaga ng ABS-CBN when it comes to coming up with stories na alam nilang magugustuhan ng tao,” he explained. When Piolo was asked if he would make another project with rumored girlfriend KC Concepcion whom he worked with in the Filipino adaptation of Lovers in Paris, he answered, “We’ve decided not to do anything professional. Mas maganda na kung anuman meron kami personally, poprotektahan namin ‘yun.” However, he clarified that he would not mind doing guest appearances on shows with KC.

Asked if he would still refuse to make a movie with KC even if there was good material and a good director, Piolo replied, “Pareho naman kaming artist ni Kristina (KC) so we’ll cross the bridge when we get th
